Laser/IPL has been in commercial use for over 11 years now. The process is very similar to the original Lasers but more skin types and hair colours can be treated successfully and there is little or no pain in comparison.

Carefully controlled flashes of light selectively interact with the pigment in the hair follicle and are absorbed below the surface of the skin. The absorbed light destroys the blood supply and therefore no further hairs can grow! The treatment is quick and relatively pain free, surrounding skin is left smooth and calm.  For those who have suffered from in-growing hairs they will become a thing of the past!

The hair starts to disappear in patches after the first few treatments and gradually after a number of sessions you can expect to have a significant reduction in hair growth.  You may then only require maintenance treatments when and if new hair growth appears, possibly once or twice a year.

This method of hair removal is fantastic at treating hair on all areas of the face and body (except eyebrows). In our experience the darker the hairs the more successful the result as the pigment in the hair follicle absorbs the light more effectively.  However, no treatment is guaranteed and a number of other factors can significantly affect the results, such as hormonal changes, medication, sun exposure, other methods of hair removal etc.
